London Adventure Fair 2015
On 17-18th January our partner Razvan went to London Adventure Fair – The UK’s only event dedicated to travel experiences off the beaten track. He is 100% amazed – more than 100 adventure travel operators came there with their best proposals for this year. Just imagine companies like 360 Expeditions, Absolute Africa, Chameleon Holidays, Goyo Travel, Grand American Adventures or Legends Of The Wild and Macs Adventure in the same place.
In Adventurers Auditorium the best highlight was Sir Ranulph Fiennes, titled by the Guinness Book of Records as the ‘WORLD’S GREATEST LIVING EXPLORER’ who led 22 major expeditions to remote parts of the world, including both Poles and is currently the only man alive to have travelled around the Earth’s circumpolar surface. He was also the first explorer to completely cross the Antarctic continent unsupported, and in 2009, aged 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, the oldest Briton ever to do so. He has not just limited himself to one adventure though – find out more when he talks about his incredible feats throughout his life.
A nice presentation was in Discover Africa Theatre about Okavango Delta in Botswana – insight into the world’s largest protected inland delta and the 1,000th site to gain world heritage status.
There were a lot of amazing offers, travel planning seminars and even a film evening with short travel movies brought from Adventure Film Festival.
